Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) is seeking to retain a qualified contractor to construct five (5) picnic shelters within TRCAs Albion Hills Conservation Park and Glen Haffy Conservation Park in the Town of Caledon. TRCA is proposing to construct four (4) picnic shelters at Albion Hills Conservation Park and one (1) picnic shelter at Glen Haffy Conservation Park. All shelters will be roofed wooden structures and the columns will be installed on top of a concrete slab-on-grade, except for the shelter at Centerville at Albion Hills, which will be installed on top of a granular base. The main objective of the Picnic Shelters is to provide a safe and accessible space for park guests for picnicking and recreation, in order to enhance the visitor experience at TRCA parks.
