Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA)  is seeking to retain a qualified engineer or landscape architecture firm to develop a detailed design for a proposed off-leash dog park at the Greenwood Conservation Lands, in the Town of Ajax (nearest municipal address is 677 5^th Concession Road). 

The project includes the design of park infrastructure including a parking lot, trail system, fencing, and other miscellaneous items such as seating, waste receptacles, a water bottle refill station, and a canine splash pad. To provide the park with potable water and hydro, the design will also include a connection of a new watermain to an existing watermain and a new hydro connection (i.e., electrical design). 

The development of detailed design shall be supported by appropriate civil engineering, structural engineering, and water resources engineering. Structural components are to meet an adequate factor of safety which will ensure long term stability and public safety. 

The main objective of the Greenwood Lands Off-Leash Dog Park is to provide improved accessibility, connectivity, safety, and user experience by providing amenities such as adequate parking capacity, open and shaded trails, and a fenced boundary for canine safety.
