The Channel Works in Yellow Creek near Heath Street Project involves the re-alignment and repair of an eroded channel within the Vale of Avoca that is causing slope steepening. This steepening is leading to increased slope instability which poses a serious threat to the residential houses above the valley. The intent of the project is to remove/repair existing channel protection features while also strengthening the robustness of the channel by adding armourstone walls throughout. |
